Mark Bindock was born in Bedford, Ohio, which is just outside of Cleveland, on March 10, 1948. He moved to Texas at the age of just one year. He attended the University of Texas (B.A. Economics 1971), but received his law degree from St. Mary's University (J.D. 1977) here in San Antonio, Texas. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1978, and also admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Western District of Texas.

Mark is also a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, and a member of many other legal organizations. These organizations include the State Bar of Texas, The Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Texas District and County Attorneys Association, the San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association, and the San Antonio and American Bar Associations.
